First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has appointed Oladipupo Jadesimi as its new chairman.

A statement from the bank’s Company’s Secretary, Olufunmilayo Adedibu, said the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had already approved the appointment.

Also, Jadesimi is currently serving as the chairman of the board of directors of Niger Delta Exploration and Production PIG, one of the largest indigenous integrated oil and gas producing companies.

He holds a Master of Arts degree in law from Oxford and was a jurisprudence scholar at the University of Oxford.

He also runs several businesses in the energy, finance and real estate sectors.

Jadesimi is the founder and chairman of Ladol Group, the largest indigenous Free Zone Industrial Park, which hosts a variety of high value industrial free zone enterprises.
