The FCT Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya, has lost his mother, Mrs Kaka Bwanda Chiya.
A statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Babangida Sarkin, on Wednesday said the matriarch died on Tuesday at the age of 103.
According to the statement, she passed away at about 2.12pm at her residence in Kwali and was buried later the same day in accordance with family and religious rites.
The statement described the deceased as a devoted Christian and centenarian whose life was marked by faith, humility, love, and selfless service to humanity.
Meanwhile, chairmen of Abaji, Gwagwalada, and Bwari Area Councils, as well as political stakeholders and party chieftains, have been visiting the Kwali council chairman to condole with him over the loss.
