FCT COE provost advocates digital learning

The provost of the College of Education, Zuba in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Sule Mundi, has advocated the use of digital tools in learning for better impact.

The provost stated this on Tuesday while declaring open a one-day conference, organised by the School of Language of the institution.

The provost noted that the traditional method of teaching is gradually being taken over by the revolution in the digital sphere, which according to him, makes learning more fashionable to both students and their teachers.

He said the institution would continue to make all necessary efforts to invest in the system.

Prof Joy Eyisi of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in Abuja, and Prof Bashir Galadanci of the Bayero University, Kano, spoke on the challenges affecting the digital education learning in Nigeria, among which, they said included but not limited to poor electricity supply, and network failure.

The duo advocated better funding to overcome the obstacles.

The Dean, School of Languages of the college, Dr Jane Asonze, explained why the school chose to honour 12 personalities for their various efforts in making a positive impact in education.
