Chairman of Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abubakar Umar Abdullahi said he has accepted calls on him to contest for the FCT Senate seat in 2027.
Abdullahi, who made this known on Tuesday, in Abuja, said his decision to contest for the seat followed series of consultations and passionate appeals from stakeholders, youths, women groups, associations and good people of the FCT.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Mohammed, the council chairman pledged to represent the interests, aspirations, and future of all residents of the FCT with dedication and integrity.
Abdullahi, expressed gratitude to all supporters and other well-wishers for their confidence they have in him to vye for the FCT senate seat in 2027 election.
The chairman, emphasized his belief in divine guidance and leadership, saying leadership comes from Almighty Allah, and grants it to whom he wills.
