The re-elected Chairman of the Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, has solicited the support of all stakeholders in the council to ensure continuous infrastructural development across the area.

Abdullahi made the call on Wednesday during a “thank you” visit to the Ona of Abaji and Chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, HRM Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, and members of his cabinet at his palace.

The chairman also reached out to his opponents from opposition parties who contested against him in the last Saturday’s chairmanship election, urging them to join hands with his administration to move the council forward.

Accompanied by several APC chieftains, Abdullahi reaffirmed his commitment to good governance, unity, transparency, and people-oriented development. 

He expressed his gratitude to the traditional ruler, his cabinet, the Chief Imam, and other religious leaders for their prayers, which he credited for his electoral victory.

The Chief Imam of the Abaji Central Mosque, Alhaji Usman Bala, who offered prayers on behalf of the traditional ruler and religious leaders at the palace, congratulated the chairman on his success at the polls.

The Imam prayed for divine wisdom as Abdullahi embarks on his second term.
