FCT: FG tasked on sexual, gender violence

The federal gbovernment has been urged to intensify efforts and provide critical structures to bring an end to sexual and gender-based violence in the country.

Marking 16 days of awareness on gender-based violence, the Centre for Law Enforcement Education in Nigeria (CLEEN) took awareness campaign to secondary and primary schools in Abuja in an initiative called: “Catch Them Young”.

The Programme Director of CLEEN, Ruth Olofin, said the campaign was to sensitise young students on their rights and educate them on warning signs to prevent them from being victims of gender abuse or violence.
