The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the posting of Mr Peter Ukachi Opara as the new Commissioner of Police of the FCT.
In a statement, the spokesman of PSC, Ikechukwu Ani, said Opara was replacing Mr Benneth Igwe who had been promoted to an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).

He said Opara, until his appointment, was the CP, Force Secretary’s Office, and former DCP, Administration and Finance, Imo State Police Command.
He said that Opara was also at a time a personal assistant to a former Chairman of PSC, IGP Mike Okiro (Rtd).
