Vigilante Group of Nigeria

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has approved the appointment of Yabo Maji Micha as its substantive commander in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was announced by the Commander-General of the group, Usman Muhammad Jahun, during a special parade exercise organised at the VGN’s headquarters in Abuja.

Represented by the Deputy Commander-General, Special Duty, Adaji Ibrahim, the VGN boss charged Micha to maintain the commitment and dedication to duty that he exhibited while in an acting capacity in the last six months. In his acceptance speech, Micah urged his members to remain vigilant and work in collaboration with other security agencies, especially the police in their various places of duty.

He congratulated them about the N20,000 monthly allowance to each official, which was approved by the six area councils’ chairmen in the FCT.

The FCT Police Commissioner, C.P Ajao Saka Adewale, who was represented by CSP Abubakar Ibrahim of the command’s operation department, acknowledged the vital role played by VGN in the nation’s security architecture.
