FCT: Lions Clubs target 50m Nigerians for eye treatment

The International Association of Lions Clubs is targeting treatment of over 200 million physically impaired people in the world this year, including 50million Nigerians.

The International President of the clubs, Gudrun Yugvandottir, who was in Nigeria to flag-off the vision and diabetes campaign, disclosed this at a press conference in Abuja yesterday.

She said though the club had been treating eye problems over the years, they decided to step up such services this year.

Yugvandottir also noted that since many people were suffering from diabetes, the body had also decided to help tackle the situation.
