A motor mechanic, Abubakar Kelly, on Thursday, appeared before an area court in Mpape, Abuja, for attempting to steal a Toyota Highlander SUV.
The Prosecutor, D. F. Abah, told the court that in December, 2020, the defendant was apprehended while attempting to steal the SUV with registration number MKA 156 LU parked at the Mogadishu Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja, noting that the offence contravened Section 348 of the Penal Code.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Salihu Ibrahim, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N2m with one surety and adjourned the case to February 22. (NAN)
