The FCT Administration has appointed Dr Abdulateef Bello as the substantive Director of the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS).

Dr Abdulateef took over from Wadata Bodinga, who sources said has been redeployed.

A statement by Anthony Ogunleye, chief press secretary to the FCT minister, said the new appointment was announced at FCT Executive Committee (EXCO) meeting held yesterday.

The statement said the appointment was to strengthen the activities of the directorate.

Until his appointment, Dr. Abdulateef was the Acting Director, Department of Security Services.

Meanwhile, the head of the Public Relations of the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS), kalu Emetu, confirmed to our City Editor yesterday that the former director, Wadata Bodinga, was redeployed and his new office would soon be announced by the Human Resource Department of the FCTA.
