FCT minister tasks residents on clean environment

The FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has called on the residents of the Federal Capital Territory to jealously protect the environment.

The minister said this when the Change Vision Nigeria Group led by Mr. Tunde Imolehin visited him in Abuja.

Bello said the protection of the environment is a duty that must be carried out by all and sundry by making it conducive for human habitation because it is our collective heritage.

“We have the advantage of having a city that has been planned from the scratch; a city that if we put our heads to it, we should be able to make Abuja like other good cities in the world. We have the resources, the weather is pretty good, and rainfall pattern here is quite good. So, there is no reason why we cannot make this city green and beautiful,” he said.

The minister said the FCT Administration would continue to support any initiative that would protect the environment.

He assured that the administration would partner with the Change Vision Nigeria Group to further develop the parks and gardens within the Federal Capital City.
