The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, and the Rotary Club of Abuja Maitama have pledged to collaborate on amplifying humanitarian initiatives, promoting ethical leadership, and strengthening community service efforts within the FCT.

During a courtesy visit to the NUJ Secretariat in Abuja, Maha Longe, the President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Maitama, stated that both organizations share core values rooted in service, truth, and integrity.

“Where Rotary seeks to illuminate communities through service projects, journalism seeks to illuminate society through truth and information,” Longe said. “We believe that together, we can achieve far more than we can apart.”

She outlined potential areas for collaboration, including increasing media visibility for Rotary’s projects, holding joint seminars on combating misinformation and promoting ethics in public service, and working together on community development initiatives.

In her response, Ms. Grace Ike, Chairperson of the NUJ FCT Council, welcomed the partnership, emphasizing that both Rotary and journalism are committed to the public good. (NAN)
