The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, has appealed to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to intervene in addressing the dilapidated infrastructure at the union’s council secretariat in Utako, Abuja.
The call was one of the key resolutions reached during the second congress of the NUJ FCT Council, held on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Delegates expressed deep concern over the poor state of the facility currently used for congress meetings, describing it as unsuitable for a professional body representing journalists in the nation’s capital.
The congress appealed to the minister to extend his infrastructural development to the NUJ Secretariat.
