The FCT wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), under the leadership of Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed Shafa, has and on behalf of all teachers in Abuja, commiserated with the National President of the union, Comrade Audu Titus Amba, over the demise of the union’s Deputy Secretary-General (DSG), Comrade Adamu Ango.

In a statement signed by the FCT NUT General Secretary, Comrade Margaret F. Jethro, and made available to newsmen in Abuja, the wing also condoled with the Secretary-General, staff of the National Head Office, and the entire National Executive Council (NEC) over the passage of Comrade Ango.

She described the death of the national body’s Deputy Secretary-General as devastating and a monumental loss to the union in the FCT.

“Anyone who came into contact with him can testify that the late Comrade Adamu Ango was humility personified, always radiating happiness and carrying positive energy,” she said.

She added that Comrade Ango’s meritorious service and unwavering dedication to the NUT and the labour movement would be deeply missed.

“We take solace in the inevitability of death for every mortal and pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and admits him into Aljanat Firdaus. We also pray that the Great Comforter provides strength to his family. Adieu, Comrade Adamu Ango,” the statement concluded.
