The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has restated its commitment to delivering a seamless and well-coordinated 2026 hajj operation.

The Director of the Board, Mallam Kadiri Edah, gave the assurance while receiving the new North Central Zonal Coordinator of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Hajiya Zainab Mohammed, and her delegation during a courtesy visit to the Board’s headquarters in Abuja.

Mallam Edah disclosed that the Board has put in place effective mechanisms and fresh strategies aimed at assisting intending pilgrims to perform an acceptable and spiritually fulfilling hajj in 2026.

He emphasized the need for continuous collaboration with NAHCON to overcome operational challenges, noting that each year’s exercise comes with unique demands.

In her remarks, Hajiya Zainab Mohammed said the visit was to strengthen partnership and foster closer working relations with the board. 

She pledged NAHCON’s continued support to ensure a hitch-free pilgrimage and called for cooperation among all stakeholders.

Discussions at the meeting focused on key operational areas such as the registration of intending pilgrims, camping arrangements, and the airlifting process to Saudi Arabia.
