The FCT police command has said about 1,265 successful applicants across the six area councils are undergoing screening exercise at the command headquarters, Abuja.

Addressing newsmen at the police command yesterday, the Deputy  Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of training, Emmanuel Iyang, who represented the IG of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said the successful candidates were those who applied online and were willing to join the Nigeria Police Force.

According to him, there was going to be general screening of all documents of each of the successful candidates, adding that such candidates would again be subjected to aptitude test.

He said the candidates would also be subjected to medical test by a team of medical personnel such x-ray, eye sight and all functional organs of the body.

“After that, the applicants will undergo a psychiatric test to check mental evaluation of each of them to make sure that they are not on drugs,” he added.
