The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has appealed to members of the public for information that will help reunite a six-year-old boy, Aliyu Suleiman, with his family.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, made the appeal while speaking with journalists on Thursday. He said Aliyu was found wandering the streets of Kubwa.

According to the CP, the child, who speaks Hausa fluently, told police officers that he travelled to Abuja from Port Harcourt with his mother, identified as Rashidat.

He said the boy told police that he had gone out with his mother and his three siblings—Aisha, Umar and Zaipa—when he became separated from them.

Sanusi said the child was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to the Kubwa Area Command on July 9, 2026, after efforts to locate his parents or relatives proved unsuccessful.

He appealed to anyone with useful information that could help reunite the child with his family to report to the nearest police station or contact the FCT Police Command.

The Commissioner of Police urged members of the public to call 08180382808 or the Police Public Relations Officer on 07038979348 with any relevant information.
