Some parents in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have expressed mixed reactions to community parenting.

While some parents are of the view that community parenting helps instil morals and curb social vices among children and youths, others believe it’s outdated.

Some parents who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the issue also said that most parents no longer tolerate others correcting their children.

Others, however, said that community parenting, when done with good intentions, could help raise a better society.

Mrs Monica Umeh, a mother of two, while emphasising the importance of community parenting, said that it played a significant role in shaping her upbringing as a child and young adult. (NAN).
