FCT SEB boss promises more buildings at GSSS Abaji

The Chairman of the Secondary Education Board (SEB) in the FCT, Alhaji Musa Yahaya Muhammad, has promised to provide more buildings at Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Abaji.

Muhammad said the buildings would be provided at the completion of the procurement process.

Muhammad spoke at the inaugural meeting of the school’s Alumni Association on Saturday.

He said the school was a stepping stone for the alumni to actualising their dreams.

He said most of the members of the association had achieved a lot in life as a result of the efforts of the pioneer principal of the school, Dr. Hussain Akwanga, as well as teachers and the school authorities.

Muhammad, who was a 1987 graduate of the school noted that some benefit could be derived from the alumni association, either through economic, political, social or technical and diplomatic.

Also speaking, the pioneer principal of the school, Dr. Hussain Akwanga, commended the pioneer students on the formation of the association, even as he urged them to put heads together to give the school a facelift.

Earlier in his speech, the steering committee chairman of the alumni association, Eng. Aliyun Shehu Buhari, said the association has the capacity to always function as a veritable platform for unity.

The chairman of Abaji area council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, who is also a pioneer student, pledged to support the association.
