The National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC) has provided vocational and technological skills training to at least 100 senior secondary school students in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking at the closing ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, NSSEC’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Iyela Ajayi, said the programme was part of the commission’s 2025 Long Vacation Skills Acquisition Initiative.
Ajayi, who was represented by Mohammed Salihu, the Head of Teacher Development and International Partnerships, said the programme was designed to empower young Nigerians with practical, self-reliant skills to prepare them for the future. (NAN)
“This programme, which started on August 25, brought together 100 students from schools across the FCT,” he said.

“Over the past two weeks, they have received hands-on training in Plaster of Paris (POP) design, tiling, plumbing, painting, solar panel installation, CCTV installation, catering, culinary skills, and robotics.” (NAN)
