A statement from the Chief Communications Officer of CSWYE SURE-P FCT Abdulrahman Mohamed said the chairman of the scheme Yahaya Yunusa Suleiman disclosed this while receiving the 2013 performance monitoring assessment report conducted recently by the community service office of the project in Abuja.
Yunusa, who was represented by the vice chairman and Coordinator of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) FCT, Mr. Romiliyu Oludare Newton at the occasion, explained that the 3000 participants have been on the programme since April 2013 and are fully deployed for community sanitation duties with Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) absorbing 1000 participants because of its size, while Kuje, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari and Abaji have 400 participants each respectively.
He noted that available feedback from the impact assessment report indicates that the Federal Government through the Ministry of Labour have paid all the 3000 participants their monthly stipends of N10, 000 each monthly up to December 2013.
