FCT to train natives on railway engineering abroad

The FCT minister, Muhammad Musa Bello, has promised overseas training for some Federal Capital Territory (FCT) natives in railway engineering and administration.

Bello, who stated this during the celebration of the World Indigenous Day (WID) in Abuja, said his administration was committed to running an inclusive government.

The minister, who was represented by the FCT permanent secretary, Chinyeaka Ohaa, said the present APC led administration has given the original inhabitants of the territory prime positions including a permanent secretary.

He assured that the FCT Administration would continue to address issues that affect the natives.

The spokesman of the Abuja Indigenous Association, Alhaji Shuaibu Usman, commanded the FCT Administration under the leadership of Muhammad Musa Bello, for involving the natives in some of its affairs.

“It is obvious that the present APC led administration under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has been able to identify with the natives through appointments. But we are calling on the president to appoint a native as a minister,” he said.
