The newly appointed provost, Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze, Anambra State, Dr Tessy Okoli, has expressed commitment to the improvement of higher education and employee welfare.

The provost promised at a press briefing to improve workers welfare towards greater productivity that would impact positively on teaching, learning and research in the institution.

According to her, in an effort to create conducive working environment, the management has reviewed all cases of stagnation in promotion and wrongly placed workers in the institution.

She said the college would continue to maintain quality of its graduates to effectively fit into their chosen areas.

She however lamented the low internally generated revenue of the college, saying that management would step up action toward generating more money to achieve greater development.
