The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured residents that the FCT University of Science and Technology, Abaji (FUSTA), will begin operations under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike gave the assurance on Tuesday in Abaji during a to the residents for supporting the President’s candidates in the Feb. 21 FCT Area Council elections.

He said the FCT Administration is already developing the infrastructure and critical facilities required for the university’s take-off.

Wike urged residents to remain patient, emphasizing that President Tinubu is committed to ensuring the university becomes a reality during his tenure.

“From our conversations, we see how important this university is—not only to the people of Abaji but to all residents of the FCT. It will create jobs and open the Abaji community to further development. I will be proud to be the one to officially open the university for operations,” he said.

The Minister explained that his visit was primarily to appreciate the residents for fulfilling their promise to support the President, stressing the importance of reciprocating good deeds.

Describing politics as a “game of give and take,” Wike declared that the era of empty promises is over (NAN)
