The Executive Director, Federal Capital Territory, Universal Basic Education Board (FCT-UBEB), Dr Adamu Jatau Noma, has asked principals and head teachers to avoid imposing exorbitant and illegal fees on students.

He also said school authorities must stop leasing classrooms and other school facilities for personal gain.

Dr Noma gave the warning at an interactive meeting with principals and head teachers of Bwari Area Council at Government Girls College, Dutse. 

He said the authorities must keep proper records of all their activities and transactions and avoid charging illegal fees. 

He said superiors must maintain peaceful relationship with their subordinates and work diligently to ensure that the students have access to free and qualitative education so as to leave a legacy worthy of emulation.
