The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has flagged off the construction of access roads in Karsana district.

The arterial roads include N11, N16, N40 and SILS 03 to the Renewed Hope Estate in Abuja.

Speaking at the event on Friday, Wike emphasized that the project marks a critical step in delivering on the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Describing road infrastructure as the backbone of every modern city, the minister said no community can thrive without a proper network of roads.

“What defines a city first is the network of roads, then you talk about other facilities. Roads are the first necessity before schools, hospitals, investors. Without access roads, houses make little sense,” Wike said.

The minister said the initiative is expected to provide essential road networks that will serve the nearly 3,000 housing units already under development in the estate.
