The FCT Ministerial Task Force on City Sanitation yesterday demolished some joint spots and other structures said to be on water trunk lines, along Dutse-Bwari road. A scavenger’s den described as ‘a no go place to the security men,’ was also set on fire by the task force, who raided the area in company of a joint security operatives in about 20 vans, City News gathered.
Some people affected by the exercise lamented that the operation, which started around 8am and lasted till noon, ruined their source of livelihood, adding that they were not allowed to park out most of their goods before the structures were pulled down.
Some residents, who spoke to City News, however, said a reminder notice was issued about two weeks ago in respect of the exercise.
