The coordinator said that the step became necessary to appreciate the efforts and contributions of these people to the development of the country.
He also said the naming of the streets will give way for proper identification of various streets and locations in eth FCT.
He said those selected for the street naming were chosen after thorough investigations of their personal contributions in their various sectors.
Some of the notable people who get streets named after them include:  former President Goodluck Jonathan, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Ghali Umar Na`aba, Abubakar Mahmud Gumi and Dr. Sarki Tafida.
Others are Sultan Sa`ad Abubakar III, Justice Mustapha Akanbi, Nasir El Rufai and late Footballer legend Rashidi Yekini amongst several others.
