The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has been implored to include some the commercial motorcyclists popularly called okada riders and tricycles operators popularly called Keke NAPEP operators into its taxation system.
Speaking on Monday in Abuja during a town hall meeting on tax harmonization drive in FCT titled, ‘shaping our future together,’ organised by the FCT Administration, the Executive Secretary, Joint Tax Board, Mrs. Obomegbite Nana-Aisha, also worried about the security threat possed by those operators.
She said motorcycles and tricycles were alleged to have been used in executing Kuje jail break, hence the need to regulate them.
The chairman FCT council of chiefs and the Ona of Abaji, His Royal Majesty, Adamu Baba Yunusa, represented by Sheriki Gabas, Alhaj Kamas Adamu-Garba, called for transparency and truthfulness in the arrangements of the FCT tax harmonisation.

Adamu-Garba however charged the leadership of the Administration to collapse all it revenue generating agencies into the harmonisation structure.
She noted such would give all the partners confidence in the system.
In his speech, FCT Permanent Secretary, Adesola Olusade, assured transparency in the process.
