The Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission (FCT-CSC) has issued a warning that the administration is not currently recruiting and urged job seekers to be wary of fraudsters.
In a statement, the commission disowned an online publication claiming that the FCT administration was recruiting to fill 3,000 vacant job slots.
“The attention of the Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission (FCT-CSC) has been drawn to an online publication/advertisement circulating on social media platforms requesting prospective job applicants to apply for a non-existent ‘3,000 job vacancies,’” the statement read in part.
It added, “We wish to state emphatically that the publication is fake news. It is the handiwork of fraudsters who intend to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, especially job seekers.

“The FCT-CSC, therefore, wishes to inform the public to disregard such unauthentic information. It is false and has nothing to do with the FCT-CSC.”
