Fed Cup: Beyond Limits upset Remo Stars, Ahudiyannem knock out Abia Warriors

The Ikenne-based team Beyond Limit, widely regarded as one of the standout youth football setups in Nigeria, booked their place in the national rounds after an impressive campaign that included a shock victory over their parent club, Remo Stars FC.

Beyond Limits secured qualification with a 4-2 penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw.

Elsewhere in the competition, Nationwide League One side Ahudiyannem FC continued their giant-killing run, eliminating NPFL side Abia Warriors 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba. It marked the second consecutive season Ahudiyannem have knocked out the top-flight club.

In another fixture, Gaa Akanbi FC defeated ABS Ilorin FC 4–3 on penalties in the Kwara FA Cup after a 1–1 draw in regulation time, adding to the string of surprise outcomes that have characterised this year’s competition.

Kano Pillars will face Nigeria National League side, Bichi First FC, in the semi-final of the Kano State Federation Cup today at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Meanwhile, in the FCT, Sporting Supreme Feeders will lock horns with Sporting Supreme in the final on Saturday, April 25 just as former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) heavyweight Lobi Stars square up with Nationwide League side, Flight FC Gboko in final of the FedCup in Benue State.
