The quarter-final matches of the 2026 President Federation Cup are scheduled to take place simultaneously today across four neutral venues.

The clash between regional rivals, Plateau United and Nasarawa United at Bwari Township Stadium in the FCT is the headline tie of the round.

Both teams escaped tense Round of 16 encounters, with Nasarawa United eliminating Rivers United on penalties.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano, defending champions El-Kanemi Warriors who survived a grueling penalty shootout against Bendel Insurance to keep their title defence alive will square up with a highly confident Sokoto United side that comfortably swept past Adamawa United in the previous round.

In another all-NPFL matchup, Ikorodu City who pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament by knocking out former African champions Enyimba FC via penalties will carry the massive momentum into Awka to face a tough test against a dangerous Barau FC side that eliminated Sunshine Stars U19.

Meanwhile, a classic cup tie featuring two of the tournament’s dark horses, Wikki Tourists and Flight FC Gboko will take place at the Jos Township Stadium.

Flight FC proved their resilience by eliminating Bida Lions, while Wikki Tourists booked their spot after edging past Kada Warriors on penalties.

The coach of Flight FC, Donald Orhungul, is eying another upset.

“We are the underdogs but we won’t give too much respect to our more illustrious opponents.

“Our ambition is to move to the next stage. So, we are ready to fight till the final whistle,” said coach Orhungul, the “Gboko Pep Guardiola.”
