The positions were contested in three schools-general studies, business management and engineering, according to the school’s public relations officer Mohammed Wada.
Contestants from schools of agriculture, environment and science technology stood unopposed in the elections chaired by the polytechnic’s deputy registrar for academics, Abdullahi Garba.
According to the results, Hassan Alhaji Hassan, head of department of mass communication emerged as the new dean of general studies.
School of engineering has Yohanna Daniel Ali as dean, and Sule Adamu was elected dean of agricultural technology.
Others are Muhammad Usman who was re-elected dean of science and technology, and Isa Adamu unopposed as dean of environmental technology, while Yaya Mukhtar became dean of business studies.
Receiving the reports of the electoral committee, the rector, Shuaibu Musa, urged the new deans to put in their best for the progress of the institution and the nation.
