Senator Stella Oduah.

The federal government has arraigned a former Minister of Aviation, Senator Stella Oduah, before an FCT High Court over allegations of corruption involving N5 billion.
The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation filed a five-count charge against Oduah, accusing her of advance fee fraud and conspiracy said to have been carried out through Broad Waters Resources.
The alleged offences involve N2.4 billion purportedly drawn from the Federal Ministry of Aviation under the guise of “technical supervision” in 2014.
Oduah was also accused of receiving additional sums of N1.6 billion and N839 million through similar fraudulent claims, actions said to be contrary to Section 8 of the Advance Fee Fraud Act.
The former minister, arraigned alongside one Gloria Odita, pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Justice Hamza Muazu granted Oduah bail on self-recognition but ordered her to deposit her international passport with the court.
She is also barred from travelling outside the country without prior permission of the court.
