The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) has announced the deployment of 35 medical professionals, including nurses and doctors, to Zanzibar, Tanzania, to address both educational and professional gaps in the country.
Speaking at the event held on yesterday in Abuja, Dr Yusuf Yakub, the Director General of NTAC, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the agency’s mandate of sending volunteers to African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) nations in need of expertise.
He stated, “Today is a historic day for the corps and to honour the directive of President Bola Tinubu, using soft power diplomacy, the corps is sending 35 TAC volunteers to Zanzibar.”

Yakub, a former member of the House of Representatives, commended President Tinubu for supporting Nigeria’s foreign policy efforts in assisting countries in need.
