The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, in partnership with Intelligent Innovations, has launched the Happy Woman Platform, an initiative aimed at empowering 10 million Nigerian women to achieve financial independence and sustainable growth across all sectors of the economy.

The Happy Woman Platform is a dynamic digital ecosystem designed to connect Nigerian women — from micro and small business owners to professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs — with access to financing, training, mentorship, digital tools, and community support.

Through the Happy Woman Platform, women across Nigeria can benefit from: Financing & Business Growth Tools: Access to loans and business funding to scale their ventures; Capacity Development: Skill-building, mentorship, and training programs to enhance employability and entrepreneurship; Health & Wellness Support: Affordable health insurance and wellness partnerships that promote holistic empowerment.

A foundational course that teaches women how to manage, grow, and leverage money for business success.

Completion of this training is a mandatory entry point for financing opportunities on the Happy Woman App. Applications are now open.

The initiative connects women entrepreneurs to low-interest financing, equipment loans, and inventory support through partner financial institutions — helping them expand and strengthen their businesses. Applications are now open.

The nationwide competition identifies and supports innovative business ideas from women entrepreneurs.

The challenge offers grants, loans, and investor connections, targeting the empowerment of 1,000 women-owned businesses. Applications are now open.

Speaking at the official launch, the Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, described the initiative as a turning point for Nigerian women:

“It’s Woman’O’clock in Nigeria! The Happy Woman Platform marks a new dawn — one where every woman, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to opportunities, funding, and digital empowerment. This aligns perfectly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to ensure no woman is left behind in our nation’s economic transformation,” he said.

The Chief Executive Officer of Intelligent Innovations, Mr. Kunle Erinle, expressed optimism about the platform’s impact, saying, “Our mission with the Happy Woman Platform is to connect 10 million Nigerian women to financial freedom. By leveraging technology, partnerships, and data, we’re breaking barriers and creating a single gateway for women to access all they need to thrive.”

Co-founder of Happy Woman, Mrs. Omowunmi Akingbohungbe said, “After over three years of work, it’s truly fulfilling to see this vision come to life. The Happy Woman Platform is a new era for Nigerian women — a movement to access timely information, funding, and empowerment opportunities that can transform lives and communities.”
