The Federal Government has said the National Addressing Policy would deliver efficient and effective postal services to the country in the areas of legal identity, rails, water board, internet business and security.
The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, stated this in his office when National Addressing Policy was presented to him by the Addressing Committee set up by FG, a statement from the ministry’s Deputy Director of Press, Mrs O Oyemade, said yesterday.
The minister enjoined the National Addressing System Committee to keep records objective and to coordinate the activities of the council legacy in service delivery.
Daily Trust had exclusively reported in June that National Addressing System would be launched by the FG as soon as modalities for its implementation are fully undertaken by all the government agencies in its implementation committee.
The project, which had been approved by the Federal Executive Council and the National Economic Council, is capable of “drastically reduce kidnappings, insurgency and other crimes in the country’’, according to NIPOST.
