The Federal Government has said that it would adopt Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model in the building and development of the permanent site of the Enugu International Trade Fair Complex.
Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs Mariam Katagum, stated this in Enugu on Friday while declaring open the 31st Enugu International Trade Fair.
According to Katagum, it was only PPP model that could assure the facilitation as well as future development and maintenance of the complex.
Earlier, Hajiya Saratu Aliyu, the President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), commended ECCIMA and the Enugu State government for putting up a successful fair.
Aliyu, who was represented by the first Deputy National President of NACCIMA, Mr. Ide Udeagbala called on South-East governors to continue to partner with the Federal Government to ensure even development of the rural areas.
