A trip by road across the country at this moment is about the worst thing to happen to anyone. This is because most of the roads are in bad condition.  Not everyone can afford to travel by air and even where the money is available, not everywhere can be accessed by air. There are instances where road trips are inevitable. So many lives are lost on a daily basis due to the state of the roads. Vehicles are also destroyed because of that. In some states, there are uncompleted roads which have been commissioned and that does not serve the masses in anyway. What is the point of commissioning a road that is not completed or that cannot be used by motorists? This poor condition of the roads has also  made it easy for  criminals to attack victims, as they wait at the bad spots to strike.  Furthermore,  agricultural produce cannot easily be transported from the rural areas to the urban areas if the roads are bad.  I urge the federal and state governments to make road construction a priority and hasten work on those that are already under construction.
