FG reinstates 91 sacked CRIN staff

The Federal Government has reinstated the 91 sacked workers of the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria, (CRIN), Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The reinstated workers, who were sacked by the past administration of Prof. Malachi Akoroda, jubilated as they resumed duty yesterday. They were all clad in ankara uniform, specially chosen for the occasion
The Acting Executive Director of the institute, Dr Feyisara Okelana, while welcoming the reinstated staff, urged the workers to put behind them.
She said the Federal Government, after thorough investigation of their cases had found out that they were unjustifiably sacked.
Chairman of all the various workers’ unions in the institute, Dr. Semiu Olalekan Ogunwolu, praised the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh for getting to the root of the matter which led to the reversal of the sack order.
