The federal government released N1.8trn in capital votes by the end of December 2020, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, has said.
The minister gave the data on Tuesday during the public presentation of the 2021 budget.

The event held virtually.
She said this amount represents 89 percent of the provision for capital expenditure.
Mrs Ahmed said out of the amount released, N118.3bn was for COVID-19 capital expenditure.
She indicated that the amount spent on debt servicing peaked at N3.27trn while the sum of N3.19trn was released for payment of salaries and pensions.
