The billings being handed to consumers of electricity by distribution (DISCOS) companies operating in this country is getting out of hands.
Our experience in Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory which is under the franchise of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) is even more devastating.
The AEDC has continued to capitalize on estimated billings to rip off its customers.
In their quest to continue to charge us exorbitantly through estimated billing, the company has failed to provide adequate prepaid meters for customers even after applying for them over a long period of time.
I therefore call on the Federal Government to checkmate this menace of crazy billings by putting pressure on DISCOS to provide prepaid meters for consumers.

Where are the “El-Rufai” buses?
Once upon a time, there were fleets of intercity mass transport scheme buses popularly known as “El-Rufai” buses in the FCT.
And I dare to ask, “Where are the El-Rufai” buses? Have they been grounded? Can’t the FCT Administration do something to ease transportation for citizens living and working in the FCT?

When will the Ajaokuta road be fixed?
The ever busy Itobe -Ajaokuta-Okene and Ajaokuta-Lokoja road which link North/South to the Eastern parts of the country have been in deplorable condition for a long time.
The portion of the road, which has become a nightmare for many road users over the years, spans from the Geregu Power Plant in Ajaokuta down to the Niger Bridge (Itobe Bridge) end of the road.
The FG should help fix the road urgently as it has turned into a deathtrap for motorists.

Tackle the spread of Lassa fever now
The federal and state governments must rise up to curtail further spread of Lassa fever in parts of the federation where the outbreak is yet to be recorded.
A health emergency should be declared across states and awareness campaigns should also be intensified as done in the case of Ebola epidemic in the country.
Members of the public should observe basic hygiene and should keep their food from having any contact with rats.
