The Managing Director of Gazem Technologies, operators of G-Medics solution, Engr Finny Nwaogazie, has advised the federal government to automate processes in hospitals.
He said doing so will help tackle poor service delivery and ensure quick response during emergency situations at public and private hospitals.
He said: “When a hospital is digitalized, it enjoys the full benefits of digitalization, and as you automate your process, from start to finish, everything gets automated.
“There is a need to automate the entire process, from the first port of call, (ie) front desk, to when the patient has been discharged, this makes the process smooth.
“G-Medics was designed to automate hospital processes, moving them from the analogue way of doing things to the digital way of doing things. We have come to stay, and have already installed our solution system in 10 hospitals in Lagos, Ogun and Port Harcourt, Rivers State, respectively.
“Our primary targets are the class ‘b’ hospitals, the class ‘a’ hospitals have the solution already in their custody. The hospitals that need to automate their processes are our target,” Nwaogazie explained.
He added that every analogue system-based hospital needs to upgrade and move to the next level.
