The Federal Government has been charged to improve and develop standards for training of teachers to get the best teachers and improve classroom practice. 

This call was made by an educationist, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo in Abuja, yesterday.

“I think there are many things that we can do quickly to address the quality of teachers. If we improve the quality of our teacher training it will make the teaching profession more interesting and good job career,” she said.

 She said quality teaching had direct impact on students’ achievement and that government should provide essential training to teachers.
