Former Niger State governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has said that Nigeria would continue to remain in the third world category unless the country embraced education of the girl-child.
Dr. Aliyu made the remark while presenting a paper titled: “Promoting Self Reliance Through Sustainable Trade, Commerce and Agriculture for Human Development, at Izala group annual convention, in Abuja, yesterday.
“Let me conclude by asserting that Nigeria may remain in the third world category unless we deliberately and consciously embrace education particularly the education of the girl-child,”he said.
