The Federal Government is yet to appoint provosts for the Federal Colleges of Education in Katsina, Yola, Abeokuta and Obudu.
A source at the ministry of education Abuja said several people who applied for the position of provost at the FCE Katsina and Obudu were interviewed but none has been appointed, as the colleges were left in the care of acting provosts.
At the FCE Yola and Abeokuta, the former provosts who had completed their first terms were interviewed for second terms but are yet to be confirmed, the source added.
He further said the inability of government to name substantive heads for the colleges has stalled vital activities there.
