A press release by FHA Head of Corporate Communications Mr Tunde Ipinmisho said Mr David Kpue who had been Deputy General Manager is now holding forte.
An Assistant General Manager, M. Jonah Saidu is directed to take charge of the Finance department of the authority.
In their letters of appointment handed over to them on Thursday, they were directed to take charge pending the appointment of a substantive management.
Gemade became Managing Director of FHA in May 2009. After completing his first term of four years, government last year re-appointed him with a new team to drive the commercialization of the authority for an interim term of 12 months which was renewable subject to good performance.
The dissolution of the management team last week might be interpreted to mean poor performance.
Before handing over on Friday, Gemade said he did his best to fulfill the mandate of the authority.
Kpue thanked Gemade for his service to the authority and wished him well.
The new head urged the staff of the authority to brace up to the challenge of meeting the housing needs of Nigerians.
