This year’s workshop will also have British/Sierra Leone writer Aminatta Forna, winner of the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and American poet Sally Keith as facilitators alongside Habila.

The workshop this year would focus on fiction, poetry, and creative writing. Candidates must apply based on their field of interest.

To apply: email [email protected] email should bear title ‘Workshop Entry’. The body of the email should contain the applicant’s name, address, a few brief bio of no more than 500 words and a writing sample between 200 and 1000 words.

All data should be pasted in the body of the mail and no files should be attached. The organisers say acceptance would be based on quality of the entry.

Successful applicants would be notified on June 20.
