FIFA U17 WC: Awoniyi brace eases Nigeria into Semi-final

A brace from Nigerian Striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has eased the Golden Eaglets into the Semi-final of the ongoing FIFA U17 FIFA World Cup.

He fired home from attacking midfielder; Kelechi Iheanacho’s through pass in the 17th minute to give the Eaglets the lead before hitting the target again in the 77th minute.

Iheanacho was the provider once more for the team’s second making it his sixth of the tournament.

Nigeria joined Sweden, Argentina and defending champions Mexico in the semi-finals.

The Eaglets’ next game is against Sweden.
